The Craft Asia - Yacht Ship - Avel

Avel is a 26 meters engineless gaff schooner designed by Charles E. Nicholson and built by Camper & Nicholson in 1896. She was a wreck rescued from a mud bank in England in the early 1990's, was renovated in Cowes and has been racing in the Mediterranean since 1994. She was intially captained by Classic Yacht Adventure's Feargus Bryan. The sisters Allegra and Alessandra Gucci own the boat, which was completely overhauled in 1994, and take part in races. In 2011 they won the classic Rolex Trophy with the Avel.
